As a yoga teacher, I facilitate classes, workshops & 1:1 sessions for businesses & individuals. I teach Hatha Yoga which is focused around cultivating awareness of the body, the breath and the mind – sometimes that means dynamic and challenging classes & other times slower and relaxing. I encourage my clients to have fun and enjoy themselves alongside working hard and doing the best that each individual is capable of.

What is Yoga?
Yoga is an ancient science & spiritual practice that originated in India at least 5000 years ago.  The word Yoga (Sanskrit) is often translated as ‘to yoke’ or ‘union’.  The purpose of practicing yoga is to attain Moksha or ‘liberation’ within the mind, finding true peace & balance within one’s self.  This goal is not easy to reach & may take many years (& lifetimes) to achieve but there is an abundance of benefits along the way for those who practice yoga including,

-improved posture, flexibility & strength

-managing and lowering stress levels

-boosting energy & productivity

-enhancing well-being

-improved focus and concentration

  I hold a 500-hour teaching certification from Rishikesh Yog Peeth in India & acknowledge the privilege of being able to not only learn this ancient practice but also to teach it.  My respects are with the culture & people of India who this practice belongs to.
